Business Grants for Employee Training
The purpose of the Business Grants for Employee Training Program is to provide resources for employers to train currently employed workers in an effort to keep businesses and workers competitive.
On-The-Job Training
Employers who find job seekers that may not have all of the experience or skill necessary to perform the job duties, but who could become job ready with additional training, may be able to receive financial assistance for training.

Manufacturing Hiring Event 

Join us on Thursday, March 19th, 2026! Companies with confirmed job postings include: Richardson Manufacturing Company, Springfield Plastics, Inc., Certified Tank Manufacturing, Simplex, Drake-Scruggs Equipment, JBS, and Eaton.

There will be two sessions: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) and also from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Illinois workNet Center in Springfield (1300 South 9th Street, Springfield, IL 62703).
