Employers who find job seekers that may not have all of the experience or skill necessary to perform the job duties, but who could become job ready with additional training, may be able to receive financial assistance for training. As an incentive to hire workers through the OJT Program, training costs may be reimbursed up to 75 percent of the new hire’s wages.
The OJT program is a “hire-first” program in which the employer enters into an agreement with the local Illinois workNet Center to hire, train, and retain an individual.
Click here for the flyer and don’t forget to watch the Illinois workNet series of videos regarding OTJs below. The OJT flyer is also available in Spanish.
"The Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance, an Illinois workNet™ Center, is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Program Provider. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.”
